About Sapna Ahirwar
I was really fortunate to be given the opportunity to live at Mercy Home in Jabalpur from my 4th grade. When I was in 10th grade I developed a kidney and liver infection during the summer break while I was visiting my parents at home. I was sick for a long time, but by the grace of God and with the help of the mission who paid for my medical expenses, I got well. I was behind in my studies but I was determined and worked hard. I have graduated from high school with good marks. I love playing chess, studying good books, singing, and dancing to worship songs. Going to Mercy Home was the best blessing of my life!!
My dream is to become a nurse. I want to help those who are hurting and suffering just as I was helped during my illness. My family can't afford the college costs. My parents are first-generation Christians from a small village. They are very poor uneducated laborers. My grandfather is old but still works in the fields as a field laborer, but gets paid very little. My grandmother died during the Covid pandemic. Mid India paid for me to take the nursing entrance exam and I passed it with good marks and now am studying in the nursing college.
Thank you for giving me Hope, Dignity, and a Better Future!
