About Sapna Ahirwar

Sapna’s parents are first-generation Christians from a small village. They are very poor uneducated laborers. To provide for their family they go to different metro cities to find better-paying jobs in factories. Sapna, along with her sister and two brothers would stay with her grandparents while her parents away working. The Covid lockdown was very hard on this family as her parents were not able to find work. During this time Sapna’s grandmother died. Her grandfather is old but still works in the fields as a field laborer, so he cannot take care of Sapna and her parents cannot take her with them as they live in slums while they work all day.

Sapna's dream is to become a nurse, but it is impossible for her family to afford the college costs. Mid India paid for her to take the nursing entrance exam and she passed it with good marks and is very excited about this opportunity. Sapna is praying for a loving sponsor that can give her this dream.

Sapna loves singing and studying good books. Her favorite sport is badminton and carom (an Indian board game). She enjoys all kinds of food. Chicken curry is her favorite.
