About Neha Ahirwar
Note: Neha will be moving to South India in May of 2022 to be reunited with her parents who moved there earlier this year.
Neha came to Mercy Home from a very poor family. She has one sister. Her father is a laborer and her mother is a housewife. Neha’s parents are first-generation Christians. Dedicated to their faith, they strive to train their daughters in the way of the Lord, holding daily prayer and worship in their home. Her family comes from a low cast, where their traditional caste work is cleaning toilets and doing other dirty, unprofitable jobs. After becoming Christians, they were freed from their cast ties, but now they face financial problems. They want to give their daughters a good education but know that they cannot achieve this without help.
Neha’s opportunity to live at the Mercy Home is the answer to their prayers! Neha is happy to be part of the Mercy Home family where she can live in safety, continue her studies, and grow in the Lord. Inspired by her caring teachers and new circumstances, Neha aspires wants to become a doctor, so she can contribute positively to her community and to God’s kingdom. She enjoys playing carom and hide and seek with her new friends. Her favorite foods are rice, dhal, and fish.
Neha is now in 11th grade, she will be graduating in 2023.
