About Mahesh Bhudara

Mahesh lives with his parents and his older sister Kalpana in a small mud-hut in a remote village in Western India. This area is in a valley that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is about a third of a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.

Mahesh comes from a Christian family, they attend church each Sunday and pray together daily. His father is an unskilled laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. His mother is a homemaker. Mahesh wants to become a teacher when he grows up. He enjoys playing with toys together with his sister. His favorite foods are rice and chicken. Mahesh needs your help and support to provide for his school his fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
