About Mahendra Paragi
Mahendra lives with his parents, grandparents, one brother, and his sister Vasundhara in a small mud hut in a remote village in Western India. This area is in a valley that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is about one kilometer from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.
Both of his parents are unskilled laborers, which means they get arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. Since both of his parents work outside the home, Mahendra helps with fetching water, cooking meals, doing household chores, and tending livestock. Mahendra wants to become a doctor one day. He loves to read and enjoys singing along with playing cricket. His favorite foods are dal, rice, and chapatti. Please pray for Mahendra; he comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Mahendra needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
