About Yonas Singh

Yonas Singh lives with his parents, two brothers and one sister in a mud house in a small village in North India. The climate in this village is hot and humid. This area also experiences monsoon and drought seasons. The village is located in a plains. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is 100 meters from their home.

Yonas helps with fetching water and babysitting his siblings. His father is a laborer while his mother is a homemaker. Yonas wants to become a doctor one day. He enjoys reading along with playing soccer, cricket and volleyball. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken and chapatti.

Yonas comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday, attend a Bible study and pray together daily. Yonas needs your help and support in providing for school fees, uniform, books, school bag and other needs.

Thank you for helping to provide Hope, Dignity and a Future to Yonas!
