About Vishnu Bheel

Vishnu and his younger brother Ishag came to Mercy Home from a very remote, tribal village in the jungle that has no roads, electricity, running water, or any modern facilities. His tribe lives as they have for hundreds of years. The closest school is about four kilometers away, so it was difficult and not safe for Vishnu to walk to school regularly, especially during monsoon seasons or on very hot days. His parents want Vishnu to be able to get an education so he can have a better future.
Vishnu and his brother Ishag are grateful to join the Mercy Home! Vishnu loves to study. Understanding the value of education, Vishnu wants to become a teacher one day and at the Mercy Home, he will have the opportunity to get the education he will need to achieve that goal. The Mercy Home also gives him a safe place to grow in his faith. Vishnu loves to play cricket with his Mercy Home friends. He also enjoys playing with his handmade toys, of which his rag ball is his favorite. His favorite foods are lentil soup, rice, and cornbread, which is a traditional bread from his tribe.
