About Vikas Pateliya
Vikas came to the Mercy Home from a remote village located in the forest where he lived with his parents, one brother, and two sisters. They are Christians and they want their children to get a good education, but the nearest school is several miles from their home. It is difficult to attend school every day especially during monsoon seasons or in hot weather, and it is sometimes dangerous walking through the forest because of the wild animals.
Vikas' parents prayed for a better future for their children. And the Mercy Home became the answer to their prayers! Vikas was so happy to join the Mercy Home family! He likes to study and loves his new school. In addition, here he will grow in the knowledge of Christ. Vikas aspires to become a lawyer one day. He loves to read, draw, and dance. He also enjoys playing cricket with his new friends. He loves all kinds of food like lentils, rice, vegetables, chicken, and mutton.
