About Tanisha Bhalse
Tanisha's parents are first-generation Christians. Because Tanisha's father and mother are both day laborers, they do not have set days of work or reliable monthly income. The family is very poor. They live in a mud hut. Tanisha has a younger brother, Yuvraj. As new believers, they are very passionate about their newfound faith in Christ. The family prays and studies the Bible together daily in the morning and evening. Because of their Christian faith, her family often faces persecution from Hindu extremist groups.
Tanisha likes to read. She enjoys playing badminton and board games. She likes to eat rice, dal (split pea soup), roti (Indian bread), and chicken. She loves to play with little children and wants to become a teacher one day.
Tanisha is a good student, but because of the family's financial situation, she can't continue her studies without the help of Mercy Home. As a child growing up in a family of new believers, she also needs the protection that Mercy Home can provide.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Tanisha!
