About Sushila Kumari
Sushila is from the Bheel Tribe and lives with her parents and three brothers in a mud house in a small village in Northern India. The climate in this village is hot and dry. This area also experiences drought seasons and is located in a mountainous area. The family uses wood and dried cow pies as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is over 200 meters from their home.
Sushila helps with tending livestock, fetching water, and other household chores. Her father is a farmer while her mother is a homemaker. Sushila wants to become a teacher one day. She enjoys dancing, reading, and playing Sitolia (Seven Stones Game). Her favorite foods are rice, chicken, chapatti, and mutton.
Although they are still Hindu, they attend church each Sunday. They are exploring Christianity. Please pray for Sushila and her family. Sushila needs your support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Sushila!
