About Soumya Patel

Soumya lives with her parents, grandmother, one brother, and sister in a brick and mud house in a town in Central India. The climate in this town is hot and humid and experiences monsoons. The town is located in the jungle. The family uses wood, cow pies, and propane as fuel to cook their meals. Their home has no running water but they are blessed to have a water well not too far from their house.

Soumya helps with gardening, tending livestock, carrying water from the well, and other household chores. Soumya wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys reading along with playing carom. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, veggies, chapatti, and poori (fried bread).

Please pray for Soumya as she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Soumya needs your help to provide her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
