About Soniya Paragi

Soniya lives with her parents and three brothers in a small mud hut in a remote village in Western India. This area is in a valley that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The well the family uses is over half a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.

Her father is an unskilled laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. Her mother is a homemaker and Soniya helps with household chores, gardening, and tending livestock. Soniya wants to become a teacher one day. She loves to read. In her spare time, Soniya enjoys playing kho-kho with her siblings and friends. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, vegetables, chicken, and chapatti. Please pray for Soniya; she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Soniya needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Soniya!
