About Siyon Kumar Maravi
Siyon lives with his parents and one brother, Sumit in a one-room mud hut in a very remote, poor village in Central India. Siyon's mother is a homemaker and his father is a farmer. Siyon enjoys helping his mother with the household chores, such as collecting wood and cow pies for fuel for her to cook on, tending the garden, helping her cook, handwashing their clothes and dishes, and walking with his mom to the village well to fetch water in jugs.
Siyon dreams of being a doctor someday and helping the people of his village. He enjoys singing and dancing and playing soccer, cricket, and kho-kho (an Indian game) with his friends. He and his family live on a simple diet of dal (lentils), white rice, and chapati (flat Indian bread). On special occasions, they will kill a chicken and enjoy chicken curry.
Please pray for Siyon, his family, and his village; they are generations old Hindus and we pray that the entire village will come to know the Lord. Thank you for bringing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Siyon!
