About Shivam Thakur
Shivam lives with his maternal grandparents and two brothers in a small mud hut in a remote village in Central India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains where it rains frequently but also experiences seasons of drought usually during hot summer months. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The closest water well is about one kilometer from their home which makes gathering water for all their daily needs very laborious.
Both of his parents are low-wage laborers; they often travel from place to place in search of a job. Shivam helps his grandparents with household chores. Shivam wants to become a doctor one day. He enjoys reading along with playing cricket. His favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice.
Although they are still Hindu, they attend a Bible study and are exploring Christianity. Please pray for Shivam and his family. Shivam needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Shivam!
