About Shimon Ahirwar

Shimon Ahirwar is from a small remote village located near a river in Central India. This area experiences intense seasonal droughts. He lives with his parents, one brother, and one sister in a small mud hut. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is nearly 1000 feet from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.

Both of his parents are unskilled laborers, which means they get arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. Shimon helps with household chores and fetching water. Shimon wants to become a doctor one day. He enjoys reading and dancing along with playing cricket. His favorite foods are chicken, chapatti, and fish. Shimon comes from a Christian family; they attend church each Sunday and pray together daily. Shimon needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Shimon!
