Shalina Rolfy lives with her mother and one brother in a mud hut in a town in Central India. Her father is deceased. The climate in this town is hot and humid. This area also experiences drought seasons. The town is located in the jungle. The family uses propane as fuel to cook their meals. The family has a water faucet outside the hut they rent.
Shalina helps with fetching water, cooking meals and doing household chores. Her mother is a laborer. Shalina wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys dancing along with playing badminton. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice.
Shalina comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday, read the Bible and pray together daily. Shalina needs your help and support in providing for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
