About Sankranti Yadav
Sankranti lives with her parents, two brothers, and one sister in a small brick and mud house in a village located in the jungles of Central India. The climate in this village is hot and often very dry due to the drought season they experience. The family cannot afford propane and uses wood and cow pies as fuel to cook their meals. Their water supply comes from a nearby community well.
Sankranti is helping her parents with household chores. Her father is a laborer and her mother is a homemaker. Sankranti wants to become a nurse one day. In her free time, Sankranti enjoys playing kho-kho and soccer with her siblings and friends. She enjoys eating dal (lentils), rice, and chicken.
Although they are still Hindu, the entire family attends church each Sunday, reads the Bible, and prays together daily as they grow in the knowledge of Christ. Please pray for Sankranti and her family. Sankranti needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, shoes, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Sankranti!
