About Sangita Kumari Ahari
Sangita lives in a small, remote village in Western India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. She lives with her parents, three brothers, and a sister in a small mud hut. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals, they don’t have access to electricity. The water well the family uses is over half a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.
Her father is a farmer. Her mother is a homemaker and Sangita helps with household chores, cooking meals, gardening, fetching water, and tending livestock. Sangita wants to become a teacher one day. She enjoys reading and singing along with playing volleyball. Her favorite foods are rice, chicken, and chapatti. Sangita comes from a Christian family; they attend church each Sunday, attend a Bible study, read the Bible, and pray together daily. Sangita needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Sangita!
