About Samil Basuniya

Samil came from a remote village where he lived with his parents, two sisters, and two brothers. They have a small piece of land in which they are doing farming. Sometimes they go to the city looking for jobs that would provide money for the family. Because they are unskilled laborers, those jobs would not pay much. Samil's parents are believers. They want to give him a good education but his family’s financial condition is very poor. The school is far away from their native place and it is difficult to reach especially during the monsoon months or in hot weather.

Samil was very excited when he was admitted into the Mercy Home where he can advance academically and spiritually. Samil wants to become a teacher one day. His hobbies are reading and drawing. He loves to play cricket, badminton, and carom. He likes to eat meat curry, vegetables, rice, and Indian bread.
