About Roshni Barela

Roshni came to Mercy Home from a very remote tribal village, where she lived with her parents, two brothers, and one sister. The family lives in a small hut made of sticks, straw, and mud. They don’t even have beds to sleep in. They live very poorly, cut off from the rest of the world. Their village is in the jungle and has no roads, electricity, or running water. They are gathering produce from the jungle and also growing some vegetables on a small patch of land by their hut, but that is not always enough to feed the family. Roshni’s parents are totally illiterate. They understand the value of good education and pray that all their children will be able to go to school and break this cycle of poverty.

The Mercy Home was an answer to their prayers! Roshni was so happy to join the Mercy Home family! She loves her new school. She aspires to become a doctor when she grows up. Roshni enjoys singing and dancing and praising God. She also likes to play soccer with her new friends. Roshni is glad that here she will never go hungry again. Here she will also be able to grow spiritually and build an eternal relationship with her heavenly Father.

Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Roshni!
