About Riya Soloman
Riya comes from a town in Central India where she lived with her parents and one brother. Her parents work as low-wage laborers. They attend church and all church-related meetings regularly. Her grandma was a Gospel singer. Riya’s parents wish she would have a good education but her school is far away from her home as they live on the outskirts of a slum area. Riya’s parents cannot afford her school fees and the expenses of her books, and uniform.
Riya was blessed to join the Mercy Home family in July of 2024. She likes the sweet Christian atmosphere there and her new school. Riya is in 9th grade. She takes an interest in reading, drawing, and dancing, she likes to play ludo and badminton with other children. She loves to eat rice, lentils, chicken and meat curry, and Indian fried bread with gram curry.
Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Better Future to Riya!
