About Rekha Meena

Rekha Meena is from a small village in Western India. This area is in a valley that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. Rekha lives with her parents and her brother Rahul Paragi in a small mud hut. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals; they do not have access to electricity and cannot afford propane. The water well the family uses is about a third of a mile from their home, which makes gathering water daily tedious and difficult.

Her father is a laborer which means he takes unskilled jobs at construction sights or agricultural fields. Her mother is a homemaker and Rekha helps with household chores. Rekha aspires to become a nurse one day. She enjoys reading and playing Sitoliya, a traditional Indian game that involves knocking down the opposing team's pile of stones with a ball and tagging them out as they reassemble their rock tower. Her favorite foods are dal, rice, and chicken. Please pray for Rekha; she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Rekha needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Rekha!
