About Ravindra Katara

Ravindra Katara lives with his parents and his brother, Vishal, in a mud house in a small village in Northern India. The climate in this village is hot and dry and experiences drought seasons. The village is located near a river and in a mountainous area. The family uses wood and dried cow pies as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is over 500 meters from their home. Their home has no running water.

Ravindra helps with babysitting his younger brother. His father is a laborer while his mother is a homemaker. Ravindra wants to become a teacher one day. He enjoys playing tag with his friends. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, veggies, and chapatti.

Ravindra comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday. Ravindra needs your help to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
