About Raksha Prajapati

Raksha is from a small remote village located near a river in Central India. This area experiences intense seasonal droughts. She lives with her parents, her brothers Lucky and Himashu in a small mud hut. The family uses wood and propane as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is over 300 feet from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.

Her father is an unskilled laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. Her mother is a homemaker and Raksha helps with fetching water, cooking meals, household chores, and babysitting siblings. Raksha wants to become a teacher one day. She enjoys reading, drawing, painting, dancing, and singing along with playing badminton. Her favorite foods are rice, chicken, chapatti, and fish. Please pray for Raksha; she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Raksha needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Raksha!
