About Pritam Vadakhiya
Pritam lives with his parents and his younger sister Anjali in a small brick and mud house in a remote village in the mountains of Western India. This area is experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood and propane as fuel to cook their meals. They are blessed to have the water well not too far from their house.
His father is a social worker. His mother is a homemaker and Pritam helps his momma with household chores and taking care of his younger sister. Pritam wants to become a teacher one day. He enjoys dancing along with playing cricket. Pritam and his family live on a simple diet of dal (lentils), white rice, some vegetables, and chapati (flat Indian bread). On special occasions, they will kill a chicken and enjoy chicken curry.
Pritam comes from a Christian family; they attend church each Sunday and read the Bible daily. Pritam needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
