About Preeti Masih

Along with two brothers, Preeti's parents are first-generation Christians. They were forced to leave the village because of their faith. They were surviving in a one-room house, working odd jobs to try to support the family. Preeti's parents realized that in this situation for Preeti, life in the distant or near future could be dangerous, as people around them in the slums might exploit her, so they brought her to Mercy Home for a happy, secure future and proper spiritual growth.
She loves the story of the little boy who shared his lunch of five little fish and two loaves of bread with Jesus and witnessed the miracle of feeding of the five thousand. She is interested in dancing, singing, Bible reading, and poetry. She wants to become a nurse. Her favorites are winter, rice, the lotus flower, apples, and mangos. Preeti aspires to help less fortunate girls.
