About Poonam Choudhary
Poonam Choudhary lives with her parents, one brother and five sisters in a brick and mud house in a town in Central India. The climate in this town is hot, dry and humid. This area also experiences drought seasons. The town is located near a river, in a mountainous jungle area. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is 400 meters from their home.
Poonam helps with the household chores. Her father is a laborer while her mother is a homemaker. Poonam wants to be a Sunday School teacher one day. She enjoys singing and playing board games with her friends. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken and mutton.
Poonam comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday and pray together daily. Poonam needs your help and support in providing for school fees, uniform, books, school bag and other needs.
