About Pooja Devi Singh

Pooja lives with her parents and two brothers in a small, poor village in Central India. Their home is a one-room hut made of mud. Her mother is a homemaker and her father is a farmer. Pooja helps her mother with the chores by hand washing the dishes and clothes, helping her carry jugs over 1,000 meters away to the village well to get water for their daily cooking and cleaning. She also gathers firewood and cow pies which the family uses as fuel to cook on.

Pooja would like to be a doctor one day and be able to help the poor people of her village. She enjoys reading and drawing and, when she has time, playing cricket with her friends. The family's diet is very simple, consisting mainly of dal (lentils), white rice, chapati (an Indian flatbread), and fish when her dad can get away to fish.

Please pray for Pooja, her family, and her village. They are generations old Hindus and we pray the entire village will come to know the Lord. This is only possible through generous sponsors like yourself. Your sponsorship provides schooling for Pooja, school supplies, a nutritious lunch, uniform, shoes, and other basic needs.

Thank you for bringing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Pooja.
