About Manisha Bai Bhil

Manisha comes from a remote tribal village in the middle of the jungle. Her parents are illiterate and work as unskilled laborers. Sadly, this work provides an insufficient income for their family of seven. At times, they are not able to afford enough food to feed their children. The family's problems are compounded by a lack of access to education. The isolated location of Manisha's village makes it almost impossible for her to attend school. Without an education, Manisha will grow up trapped in the same cycle of poverty that has buried her ancestors and her village.

Wanting a better future for their daughter, Manisha's parents sought out the help of the Mercy Home. Through this ministry, she has the opportunity to learn under the instruction of dedicated Christian teachers. In addition to intellectual progress, Manisha is growing in the knowledge of and relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Manisha dreams of becoming a teacher, so she can impact the lives of village children like herself. Manisha is a friendly, fun-loving girl, and she loves making new friends in her new home. In her spare time, Manisha likes to play active games like Carom and Tipu. She also enjoys learning new songs and dances and loves worship time at the Mercy Home.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity and a Future to Manisha!
