About Mahima Choudhary

Mahima considers Mrs. P., the village birth attendant, as her mother because she comes to see her every year on her birthday with a box of sweets and about $2 (100 rupees) and takes her home every summer for a week or two. Mrs. P. says she just delivered her, but she is bound by an oath not to reveal anymore beyond this.
Mahima is a clever girl. She works hard to learn and become a better student. She is developing a personal relationship with God who is our ever-present guide and help. She wants to become a doctor and serve the suffering humanity. Her favorite Bible story is the parable of the Good Samaritan. Her favorite food is noodles and chole-bhatoore (an Indian puffed fried bread and garbanzo curry). Her favorite flower is the rose, and her favorite animals are dogs, birds, and peacocks.
Mahima loves the life at Mercy Home because she now has many sisters. She loves playing and dancing with her new sisters. They help each other with their school studies, participate together in various cultural and Church activities, and they help each other grow to reach their highest potential in life.
