About Karan Ahari

Karan Ahari is from a small, remote village in Western India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. He lives with his parents and two sisters in a small mud hut. The family doesn't have access to electricity and they use wood as fuel to cook their meals, they cannot afford propane. The water well the family uses is over half a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.

His father is a village preacher and his mother is a homemaker. They also do some farming. Karan helps with gardening, tending livestock and fetching water. Karan wants to become an engineer one day. He loves to read and enjoys singing and dancing along with playing soccer, cricket, and carom. His favorite foods are rice, vegetables, chicken, and chapatti. Karan comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday, read the Bible daily, and pray together daily. Karan needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Karan!
