About Kanhaiya Thakur
Kanhaiya lives with his parents and three sisters in a small mud hut in a remote village in Central India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains where it rains frequently but also experiences seasons of drought usually during hot summer months. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The closest water well is about one kilometer from their home which makes gathering water for all their daily needs very laborious.
Kanhaiya helps with carrying water from the well and tending livestock. Both of his parents are unskilled low-wage laborers. Kanhaiya loves to read and wants to become a teacher one day. In his spare time, Kanhaiya enjoys playing cricket. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken, and chapatti.
Although they are still Hindu, they attend a Bible study and are exploring Christianity. Please pray for Kanhaiya and his family. Kanhaiya needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Kanhaiya!
