About Isha Kol

Isha comes from a poor family. Praise God, through the work of Indian evangelists her parents have become Christians, the first in their family. However, because they are uneducated, Isha's parents are forced to provide for their family by working as itinerant laborers in construction or agriculture. Their work often takes them away from home, leaving Isha and her siblings alone for long periods of time. Even though Isha is a responsible girl, this lack of supervision can be dangerous, especially for young girls, who are vulnerable to rape and kidnapping.

Seeking safety and opportunity for their daughter, Isha's parents reached out to the Mercy Home. Now living at the Mercy Home, Isha is able to attend a quality school and worship freely at church each week. She has been growing spiritually and academically under the care of loving, mature Christian caretakers. In her spare time, Isha enjoys singing with her new friends and playing active games outside. Isha's discipline helps her to succeed in her studies, and she aspires to be a doctor or a teacher in the future. She enjoys eating traditional Indian foods, including chicken, rice, dal (lentils), and vegetarian dishes. The Mercy Home is the answer to many prayers for Isha's parents, and they look forward to continuing to see their daughter thrive.

Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Isha Kol!
