About Himank Singh

Himank comes from a small village located on the plains of Northern India. He lives in a mud-and-brick house with his parents and grandparents. During the summertime, the village's weather is dominated by intense heat and heavy monsoon rainfall. Because their house does not have running water, Himank helps his mother by collecting water from the well 200 meters from their home. Himank also helps cook meals by burning cow pies and wood over an open fire.

Himank's parents both work, his father as a laborer, and his mother as a teacher. However, in the undeveloped economy of their isolated village, these jobs provide a meager income for the family. Himank has experienced frequent sickness resulting from inadequate nutrition. Without an education, Himank has little chance of a brighter future. And, he needs your help to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other essentials. Himank enjoys reading, playing cricket, painting, and drawing. He likes eating rice, dal (lentils), and chapatti (Indian-style bread). Although they still practice their traditional Hindu religion, Himank and his family have begun to explore Christianity. Please pray that they will continue to pursue the God of the Bible.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Himank!
