About Gouri Devi Singh

Gouri lives with her parents, brother, and two sisters in a mud hut in a small mud hut in a remote village in Central India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains and experiences intense heat as well as alternating monsoon and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. While the water well is not too far from their house, gathering water for all their daily needs is tedious and laborious.

Her father is a farmer. Her mother is a homemaker and Gouri helps with the gardening, fetching water from the well, tending livestock, and household chores. Gouri wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys singing along with playing kho-kho, an Indian sport that is a bit like a team-based tag. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, and chapatti.

Please pray for Gouri; she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Gouri needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Gouri!
