Gehri Lal Gameti lives with his parents, three brothers, and one sister in a small hut made of mud and bamboo in a village in West India. The climate in this village is hot and dry. This area also experiences drought seasons. The village is located in a mountainous area. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals.
Gehri helps his parents with gardening, fetching water from a well, and doing other household chores. Gehri’s father is a farm laborer and his mother is a housewife. Gehri loves to go to school and one day, he would like to be a doctor. His favorite color is orange. He really likes to draw in his free time. Throughout India, rice and lentils are a staple and for Gehri, they are his favorite food.
