About Ayushi Basuniya
Ayushi came to Mercy Home from a very remote tribal village, where she lived with her elderly grandparents, one brother, and one sister. This village is in the jungle and has no roads, electricity, or running water. They are gathering produce from the jungle and also growing some vegetables on a small patch of land by their mud-hut, but that is not enough to feed the family. Ayushi's parents have moved to the bigger city where they work as unskilled laborers, trying to get extra money for their family in the village. The closest school is 7 kilometers from their home; it is very difficult and not safe for Ayushi to walk to school every day because of the distance, especially during monsoon seasons or on very hot days.
Ayushi's parents prayed for a better future for their children. And the Mercy Home became the answer to their prayers! Ayushi was so happy to join the Mercy Home family! She likes to study and loves her new school. She also enjoys singing and dancing and praising God. Her favorite food is chicken curry and Indian fried bread. Your sponsorship will provide her a safe place to live, to get nutritious meals, quality education, and spiritual growth.
