About Astha Raj
Astha Raj lives with her parents and one brother in a brick and concrete house in a small village in Central India. The climate in this village is hot. This area also experiences drought seasons. The village is located near a river. The family uses propane as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is 100 meters from their home.
Astha helps with cooking meals and household chores. Her father is a driver while her mother is a nurse. Astha wants to become a doctor one day. She enjoys dancing and singing along with playing kho-kho (an Indian game) and badminton. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice and chicken.
Astha comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday, attend a Bible study and pray together daily. Astha needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag and other needs.
