About Ashrita Paul
Ashrita lives in a mud house with her parents and sister in a city in Central India. Her father works in construction and her mother is a housewife. Though they are poor, they have great faith and joy in the Lord.
Ashrita is so happy to be a part of the Asha Project where she received, among other things, a school uniform, books, and a school bag. She is in elementary school and enjoys her schoolwork. Singing songs that have actions is something she loves to do, especially with friends. She also enjoys dancing. Rice, dal (split pea soup), and chapatti (flatbread) are her favorite foods; they are a staple throughout India. She loves going to Sunday School and learning about Jesus.
