About Arjun Dhobi

In a small village in North India, Arjun lives with his parents, grandmother, and two sisters. Located on an open plain, their village experiences intense heat during the summer and heavy rainfall during the monsoon season. Arjun and his family live in a small mud hut without electricity or running water. They use wood and cow pies as fuel to cook their meals over an open fire and collect water from a well 300 meters from their home. Although he is young, Arjun works hard to help his mother with housework.

Arjun's father works as an auto driver. However, this job provides only a meager income for the family of six. To provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other essentials, Arjun needs your help. He enjoys reading and would like to study to become a police officer. In his spare time, Arjun likes to play cricket with his friends. Dal (lentils) and rice are two of his favorite foods. Although Arjun's family still practices their traditional Hindu religion, they have been exploring Christianity. Due to the lack of calendar use in his village, Arjun does not know the exact date of his birth. His government ID has designated his birthday as January 1st.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Arjun!
