About Anjali Gound

Anjali Gound lives with her parents and one sister in a small mud hut in a remote village in Central India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains where it rains frequently but also experiences seasons of drought usually during hot summer months. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The closest water well is about one kilometer from their home which makes gathering water for all their daily needs very laborious.

Anjali helps her parents with household chores, such as cooking meals and tending livestock. Both of her parents are low-wage laborers. Anjali wants to become a nurse one day. She loves to read and sing and enjoys playing badminton. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken, and chapatti.

Although they are still Hindu, they attend Bible study and are exploring Christianity. Please pray for Anjali and her family. Anjali needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Anjali!
