About Anita Paragi
Anita lives with her parents, one brother, and two sisters, Anjali and Sahara, in a small mud hut in a remote village in Western India. This area is in a valley that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals as they cannot afford propane and don’t have access to electricity. The well the family uses is about one kilometer from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.
Anita comes from a Christian family. Her father is an unskilled laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. Her mother is a homemaker and even though she is very young, Anita helps with household chores. Anita wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys reading along with playing kho-kho. Her favorite foods are rice, chicken, chapatti, and mutton. Anita needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Anita!
