About Akshit Dama

Akshit lives with his parents in a small mud house in a rural village in Northern India. The climate in this village is hot, and dry and also experiences drought seasons. The village is located near a river and in a mountainous area. The family uses wood and dried cow pies as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is over 250 meters from their home. Their home does not have running water.

Akshit helps with chores the best he can. His father is a laborer while his mother is a homemaker. He enjoys board games and playing tag with his friends. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, veggies, and chapatti.

Akshit comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday and pray together daily. Akshit needs your help to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
