About Akansha Yadav

No 2023  Photos,  No Fall 2023 Letter

Akansha lives with her parents, grandparents, one brother, and one sister in a small mud-hut in a remote village in Central India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains where it rains frequently but also experiences seasons of drought usually during hot summer months. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The closest water well is about one kilometer from their home which makes gathering water for all their daily needs very laborious.

Akansha helps her parents with fetching water, household chores, and tending livestock. Her father is a low-wage laborer and her mother is a homemaker. Akansha wants to become a teacher one day. She enjoys reading along with playing cricket. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice.

Although they are still Hindu, they attend Bible study and are exploring Christianity. Please pray for Akansha and her family. Akansha needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school supplies, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Akansha!
