About Abhineta Ahirwal
Abhineta Ahirwal lives with her parents, one brother, and two sisters in a small brick and concrete house in a rural village in Central India. The climate in this village is hot and humid. This area experiences heavy monsoon rain in the summer months. The village is located near a river. The family uses wood and propane as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is about 100 meters from their home.
Abhineta helps with gardening, fetching water in buckets from the well for her mom to use for cooking and cleaning, and cooking meals. Her father is a clerk and her mother is a homemaker. Abhineta wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys dancing, singing, and reading along with playing kho-kho (an Indian game) and soccer with her friends. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, vegetables, and chicken.
