About Aayan Ansari
Aayan lives with his parents and one sister in a town located by the lake and surrounded by jungles and mountains in Central India. His mother is a homemaker and his father works as a driver, a common low wage job in India. Aayan helps the family carry water in jugs from the village well, over 100 meters away, for their daily water needs. He also helps tend the garden and shepherds their livestock.
Aayan dreams of being a doctor one day and being able to help the people in his town. He enjoys reading, singing, and drawing. In his free time, you will see him playing soccer with his friends. The family's diet is simple, consisting mainly of vegetables and chapati, an Indian flatbread. On special occasions, they will kill a chicken or a goat and enjoy a meat curry.
