About Mahima Meena
Mahima lives with her parents and her older sister Pratiksha in a small brick and mud house in a remote village in the mountains of Western India. This area is experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The closest water well the family uses is over 1,000 meters from their home which makes gathering water each day laborious and time-consuming.
Her father is an unskilled low-wage laborer. Her mother is a homemaker and even though she is very young, Mahima helps her momma with household chores. Mahima wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys playing outdoors with other children. Mahima and her family live on a simple diet of dal, white rice, some vegetables, and chapati. On special occasions, they will kill a chicken and enjoy chicken curry.
Mahima comes from a Christian family; they enjoy coming to church each Sunday. Mahima needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school supplies, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Mahima!
