About Roopa Yadav
Roopa Yadav lives with her grandparents, one brother, and two sisters in a small mud-hut in a village in Central India. The climate in this village is humid and experiences drought seasons. The village is located in the jungle and in a mountainous area. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is over half a mile from their home.
Both of her parents are low-wage laborers; they often travel from place to place in search of a job. Roopa lives with her grandparents and helps them with fetching water, household chores, and tending livestock. Roopa wants to become a teacher one day. She loves to read and sing and enjoys playing cricket and badminton. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, and chicken.
Although they are still Hindu, they attend a Bible study and are exploring Christianity. Please pray for Roopa and her family. Roopa needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
