About Shivani Thakur
Shivani lives with her parents and her sister Swati in a small mud-hut in a remote village in Central India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains where it rains frequently but also experiences seasons of drought usually during hot summer months. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The closest water well is about one kilometer from their home which makes gathering water for all their daily needs very laborious.
Shivani helps her parents with fetching water and household chores. Her father is a farmer while her mother is a low-wage laborer. Shivani wants to become a doctor one day. She loves to read. She also enjoys playing hopscotch with her sister and friends. Her favorite foods are dal and rice.
Although they are still Hindu, they attend a Bible study and are exploring Christianity. Please pray for Shivani and her family. Shivani needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Shivani!
