About Shalini Singh
Shalini lives with her parents and her older brother Shivraj in a small mud hut in a poor, remote village in Central India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains and experiences intense heat as well as alternating monsoon and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. While the water well is not too far from their house, gathering water for all their daily needs is tedious and laborious.
Her father is an unskilled low-wage laborer. Her mother is a homemaker and even though she is still young, Shalini helps her mom with household chores and tending livestock. Shalini wants to become a teacher one day. She enjoys playing cricket and kho-kho. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, and chapatti. Please pray for Shalini; she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Shalini needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Shalini!
