About Kiran Tahed

Kiran came to Mercy Home from a very remote jungle village located in Central India where she lived with her parents, one brother, and four sisters. Her father is a tribal pastor who felt called by God to reach his own tribe people. Following the calling of God like this puts their family at great risk for persecution and violence from those who oppose the Gospel. The closest school is 11 miles from their home walking distance. It is difficult for Kiran to attend school every day because of the distance, especially during monsoon seasons or on very hot days. In order to give her safety and excellent education, her parents requested for Kiran to be accepted to the Mercy Home where she can grow spiritually and academically.
Kiran loves her new Mercy Home family! She enjoys singing, dancing, and reading. She loves to study and aspires to become a doctor one day. Her favorite sports are soccer and volleyball. She loves all kinds of food, whether it's a simple meal of vegetables or mutton, her all-time favorite is chicken curry with their local cornbread.
